Quality Replacement Austin Car Bearings
Many Austin vehicle bearings are no longer standard production items. When the three major British bearing companies of Hoffmann Manufacturing Co. Ltd., Ransome and Marles Bearings ( usually known as R&M Bearings ) and Pollard Bearings were forced to merge in 1969 by the then Labour government, their product ranges contracted, with the less popular sizes and ranges being deleted.

A Brief History of The Austin Motor Co.
The Austin Motor Company was founded in Longbridge, Birmingham by Herbert Austin in 1906 and the famous Austin Seven was first produced in 1921. By 1934 Austin was Britain's leading car manufacturer.
During the Second World War Austin only built vehicles for the military until general production started again in 1947 when the A40 Dorset and Devon were introduced.
Many more new models followed during the 1950's including, in 1959 the New Austin Seven (Mini)
